Tehran (IP)- Within the week ending on February 11th, 2022, the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) witnessed trade of 1,805,000 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than 504 million USD on its physical market.

Iran PressIran News: According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange traded on its metals and minerals trading floor 1,340,000 tonnes of commodities valued at almost 230 million USD.

On this floor, the IME's customers purchased 961,766 tonnes of cement, 186,785 tonnes of steel, 98,000 tonnes of iron ore, 84,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 14,525 tonnes of aluminum, 4,240 tonnes of copper, 1,445 tonnes of zinc ingots, 150 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 50 tonnes of lead and 9 tonnes of precious metals concentrate.

Furthermore, the IME saw on both domestic and export pits of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 446,134 tonnes of commodities worth more than 260 million USD.

Commodities sold on this floor included 199,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 93,103 tonnes of bitumen, 68,792 tonnes of polymeric products, 28,215 tonnes of chemicals, 45,000 tonnes of lube cut, 11,930 tonnes of sulfur, and 3,186 tonnes of base oil.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 18,685 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
