Iran PressIran News: In a telephone conversation on Thursday, Iran's FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian consulted over bilateral as well as regional and international issues with his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mikdad.

Amir-Abdollahian highlighted the issue of Palestine and the increasing crimes of the Israeli regime against the Palestinian people in Al-Aqsa Mosque and expressed hope that the Islamic countries and nations strongly condemn the regime's crimes and support the Palestinian nation.

The Syrian foreign minister for his part expressed satisfaction with Tehran-Damascus ties and called for holding the joint high commission as soon as possible.

He said the introduction of World's Quds Day by Imam Khomeini caused the formation of a global event that is respected by any freedom-seeker and dignified people.

The Israeli regime's troops attacked the Palestinian worshipers gathered in Al-Aqsa Mosque Friday, April 15, 2022, firing rubber-coated steel bullets, tear gas, and stun grenades at them during the assault in the early morning.

Following the Israeli forces' attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque, at least 152 Palestinian people were injured and 400 were arrested.
