Iran's Vice President and Head of the Department of Environment said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has valuable scientific potential for cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of environment.

Iran PressIran News: The Iranian Vice President and Head of Department of Environment, during a meeting with Uzbek Minister of Innovation Development Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, noted that climate change and biodiversity are common issues in all countries of the world.

He added: All elements of life are affected by climate change, and on the other hand, the unwise intervention of human beings has caused many problems for the environment.

Referring to Iran's climatic diversity and rainfall varied range in the land from less than 10 mm in the desert to more than 2,000 mm in northern Iran, Selajgeh said: "The management of Iran's natural environment ranges from drought lands to massive floods, and accordingly, in the management of natural hazards, the Environment department of Iran has valuable experience in this field. 

The head of Iran's Department of Environment stated: Iran also has valuable experiences in the field of desertification and control of dust, which can be presented worldwide.

Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, stating that he has studied the experiences of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of environment for about 2 years, said: "Two countries have similar conditions in terms of the environment."

The Minister of Innovation Development of Uzbekistan stated that the study of Iran's experience in dealing with drought is one of the important goals of his visit to Iran and added: Uzbekistan wants to get Iran's experience in using vegetation to cope with drought, optimizing water use, water storage and conditions that can change the lives of people in the region. 219
