Iran Press/ Iran News: On Wednesday morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin officially announced a special military operation against Ukraine. Putin says he had no other choice than to launch the military operation to stop the Ukrainian military's interference in two eastern republics that have broken away from Ukraine. Russia perceives NATO's eastward expansion as a threat.
In his press conference on Monday, Iran's Foreign Ministery Spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh, in response to Iran Press question whether the Ukraine crisis can affect Vienna talks, noted that all those familiar with diplomacy know that various cases are being followed in their ways though there may be different points of view.
He went on to say that what goes on in Vienna, is according to a common understanding to preserve all parties' interests.
Up to now, all behaviors and talks in Vienna have been professional and respectful so that proper results which be reached beside all differences, Khatibzadeh added.
Following his press conference, the Foreign Ministry Spokesman referred to Iran's chief negotiator, Ali Bagheri Kani's return to Tehran and called it to discuss Vienna's remaining issues.
He said that the West had not decided yet, and no ambiguity was left for them.

Elsewhere, Khatibzadeh referred to the situation in Ukraine and said that all Iranian citizens in Ukraine are worried, and it is understandable.
