Tehran (IP) - The first meeting of the committee on facilitating customs laws and import of goods was held on Saturday morning at Iran's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance.

Iran PressIran News: The committee was formed after the order of the first vice president, Mohammad Mokhber, to expedite matters related to customs and goods that need to go through the legal process.

In the meeting, it was said that in order to amend the existing laws in the field of customs and import of goods, the heads of the three branches may need to get involved; also Ehsan Khandozi, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance said:" We will try to amend the laws in the field of customs and import of goods, without obtaining special permits, the amendment process should be done in the Iranian Parliament. "

According to Iran Press News Agency, in a committee attended by institutions related to customs issues and import of goods, the members' expert opinions were communicated to the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance as the head of the committee.

Ehsan Khandouzi emphasized to the members of the committee that accelerating the process of customs clearance of goods from Iran and reducing and minimizing the deposition of goods at Iranian entry points is one of the goals of forming this body, and the executive regulations of the committee will be sent to the cabinet for executive guarantee.

On the sidelines of the committee meeting, the necessary action is to be taken to eliminate the toxin-contaminated corn that has been stored in Bandar Abbas customs since 2013.
