226 patients succumb to death in 24 hrs

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Thursday that 226 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 135,952.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to February 24, 2022, on Thursday, 7,011,932 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,579,768 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 12,957 cases, of whom 2,263 patients were hospitalized.

4,110 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU). At the moment, 46,938,366 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 337 cities are red, 64 are orange, and 47 are yellow zones.

So far, 62,661,757 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 55,297,216 have received the second dose, 22,775,852 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 140,734,825 doses.
