The Presidents of Iran and Serbia in a telephone conversation emphasized on expansion of the relations between the two countries, especially in the economic and trade fields.

Iran PressIran news: Iran and Serbia have good potential to increase cooperation in various sectors, including agriculture, industry, mining, construction, energy, petrochemicals, tourism and culture.

Referring to the these capacities, Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi and his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vučić in a telephone conversation on Saturday,emphasized on using the existing capacities in order to further strengthen the relations between the two countries, especially in the economic and trade fields.

Noting that there are various and wide opportunities and capacities to develop the level of cooperation between the two countries, Raisi added that the development of joint cooperation, especially in the economic and trade fields, has mutual benefits for the two countries that must be identified and activated.

The President of Serbia also in this telephone call said: "Belgrade seeks to improve the level of relations and trade and trade cooperation and to establish strong political and strategic relations with Tehran."

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has always had independent positions, and on this basis we can work closely together on international issues," Aleksandar Vučić  added.

Last week, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a message to his Serbian counterpart, congratulated the country's national day, noting that the two countries have extensive capacities for cooperation in bilateral, regional and international arenas. 219
