Iran Press/ Middle East: In recent days, some cities in the West Bank and the Shaykh Jarah neighborhood in occupied Al_Quds have become the scene of clashes between the Palestinian people and the Israeli militias and settlers, with some talking about the beginning of another intifada.
The Palestinian Red Crescent announced that 31 Palestinians were wounded and at least 12 Palestinians were detained during Sunday night clashes with the Israeli military forces and settlers.
According to the Palestine Al-Youm news agency, the Israeli occupiers again attacked the Shaykh Jarah neighbourhood in occupied Al_Quds on Wednesday night and arrested 13 Palestinians. The Israelis also arrested at least 11 young Palestinians by attacking various parts of the West Bank and clashing with Palestinians.
On Wednesday, a solidarity rally of Palestinian national and Islamic currents was held in Gaza in support of the residents of Quds and Shaykh Jarah neighbourhood.
"These events are not so strange for the residents of Quds, the people of Quds stand up for their rights in all circumstances and support each other against the oppressive occupier," said Iyad Bashir, one of the leaders of the Fatah movement in Quds.
The Shaykh Jarah area, located in the eastern axis of occupied Al-Quds, has been an important goal since 1967 in changing the demographic structure of Al-Quds and depriving it of its Islamic identity. What is happening these days is to challenge and provoke the residents of Shaykh Jarah neighborhood who are standing against all the settlement plans inside this neighbourhood.
