Iran Press/ Iran news: Among the Arab countries in the Middle East, Iraq has the most cultural and religious affinities with Iran. The two countries, Iran and Iraq, have common cultural, ancient, and historical relations, and this issue has had a positive impact on the development of relations between the two countries.
Now the Iraqis have come to Iran, and a joint memorandum of understanding is to be signed between the sports federations of the two countries, which, according to experts, will lead to the further expansion of cultural and sports relations.
According to Iran Press News Agency, Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri and Raad Hamoudi Salman, heads of the National Olympic Committees of Iran and Iraq, attended a press conference on Sunday and announced that the will of the nation, government, and National Olympic Committee of the two countries is focused on the development of economic, cultural, political and especially sports ties.

At the beginning of the meeting, Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri said: "Championship sports is a platform for the development of cultural relations between the two countries and it has been approved that the sports federations of the two countries sign a direct memorandum."
Raad Hamoudi Salman, the head of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, also said that he does not focus on a specific field to expand sports cooperation. His goal is to develop Iraqi sports.
It is worth mentioning that the exchange of coaches required by Iraq, holding joint camps in Iran and Iraq according to the upcoming events, and holding advanced sports courses are among the three main clauses of the agreement between the National Olympic Committee of Iran and the National Olympic Committee of Iraq.
