Tehran (IP) – CEO of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company announced negotiations with China and Russia to build new airports and supply Iran's aviation equipment and systems.

Iran PressIran News: Regarding China's investment in constructing new airports in Iran, Siavash Amirmakri stated on Wednesday that meetings had been held with the Chinese side for investment, which requires a final agreement.

Also, regarding the supply of aviation equipment and systems and negotiations with the Russian side, he said: "Following the US and its European allies' withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action( JCPOA), it was not possible to provide part of the aviation equipment and systems to upgrade and develop the infrastructure; hence, we entered into negotiations with prominent Russian companies in the field of airport equipment production and reached agreements, part of which led to the conclusion of a contract.

Earlier, during a meeting with Vladimir Putin, the Russian President in Moscow, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated that there are no restrictions on the development of Iran-Russia relations, and the excellent Tehran-Moscow ties are on the path of strategic ties.

Moreover, in an exclusive interview with Xinhua, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh, said that besides the geographical proximity between Iran and China, history, culture, politics, and people-to-people relations are related that connect the two nations, which the Silk Road has joined since ancient times.
