Tehran (IP) - Iran's Deaf Sports Federation will dispatch 20 female athletes to the 2022 Brazil Deaf Olympics.

Iran PressIran News: The Iranian deaf women athletes won the first gold medal in karate at the 2013 Olympics in Bulgaria, the first gold medal in Taekwondo in 2017 in Turkey's Samsun, and snatched the silver medal in shooting in the same year (2017).

The vice-chairman of the Deaf Sports Federation for women's sports, Zahra Davoodi, said on Saturday that the athletes will be sent to Brazil to take part in taekwondo, karate, shooting, and athletics.

In another development, the Iranian girls' futsal team, which had participated in the Central Asian Football Association's (CAFA) tournament, won the championship title of the competitions on Friday.

In the final stage of the competition, Iran defeated his rival, Tajikistan, 9-0, and won the championship title.
