Iran Press/ Iran news: Following Iran, the teams of Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, Greece, Thailand, and Malaysia came second to seventh, respectively.
The national karate team of Iran won 7 gold, two silver, and nine bronze medals in karate competitions.
The two sets of world competitions were held in different halls of the same sports complex, and they both ended with Iran's championship.
Alireza Sharifimanesh (-58kg) and Behzad Amiri (-68kg) bagged two kyorugi gold medals for Iran at the taekwondo contests, with Fardin Qassemi settling for a -80kg silver.
Meanwhile, Amir-Salar Amirifard (-58kg) and Masoud Razzaqi (+80kg) added a couple of bronzes to Iran's medal count.
Iran's Hossein-Ali Naeimi was also named the Best Coach of the event.
Iran collected 356 points for the title, then Russia, which scooped one gold, one silver, and three bronze points and tallied 253 points.

Meanwhile, the Iranian men's and women's teams dominated the karate competitions with a remarkable seven gold medals, two silvers, and nine bronzes, with Ukraine and Russia finishing in the following spots respectively.
In the women's competitions, Sara Adria (-68kg) and Bita Javaheri (+68kg), who respectively won silver and bronze at the 2017 Deaflympics, snatched two Kumite golds for the country, with Mojdeh Mardani – also a bronze medalist at the 2017 Games – grabbing the ultimate prize at the kata event.
Hakimeh Zakizadeh took the -50kg silver, while Zeinab Hassanpour (-55kg) and Mahnaz Hassanzadeh (-61kg) stood third in their respective weight classes of the Kumite contest.
Javaheri, Hassanzadeh, Zakizadeh, Hassanpour, and Adria also teamed up for the Kumite gold, while the team of Nahid Amiri, Samaneh Borji, and Parvin Yareh settled for the team kata silver – a repeat of their Deaflympics success.
Seyyed Yassin Hosseini (-84kg) and Hossein Tabarteh-Farahani (+84kg) cruised to the golds of their weight divisions in the men's competitions.
Tabarteh was also part of the six-man Kumite team – alongside Mohammad Shayan, Milad Sadeqzadeh, Kamran Rezaeinejad, Ebrahim Abdol-Qafour, and Enayat Zare' – that beat Russia for the gold.
Shayan (-60kg), Sadeqzadeh (-67kg) finished their individual campaigns with a couple of bronze medals, while Rezaeinejad and Abdol-Qafour shared the third podium of the -75kg class.
Mostafa Hassanpour also won a bronze in the individual kata contests before finishing third in the team kata event alongside Hamid Mehdinejad, Pourya Nikfarjam.
