Yerevan (IP) - The Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia and the Ambassador of Iran to Yerevan exchanged views on regional developments and the process of talks on lifting the blockade of transportation hubs.

Iran PressAsia: After the recent developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and the war between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Iran's relations with Armenia have entered a new phase. 

Iran's Ambassador to Yerevan Abbas Badakhshan met on Wednesday with Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mehr Grigoryan, who has just been elected chairman of the Iran-Armenia Joint Cooperation Commission, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation. 

Referring to the importance of transportation infrastructure for the development of Iran's economic and trade relations, Badakhshan reminded the readiness of Iranian companies to participate in projects in this field.
 
The Iranian Ambassador and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia stressed establishing a 17th Iran-Armenia Joint Commission, Referring to the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries in the new era. 
 
It was also decided to review the implementation of the agreements of the 16th Commission in the working meetings of the two sides to prepare the ground for the exchange of high delegations between Iran and Armenia.
