COVID-19 claims lives of 18 Iranians in 24 hrs.

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Ministry announced that 18 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 132,044.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to January 15, 2021, a total number of 6,218,741 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,062,633 of the infected people recovered. 

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 1,421 cases, of whom 194 were hospitalized. 

1,369 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU). 

So far, 43,326,629 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran. 

So far, 60,289,939 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 53,064,275 have received the second dose, 12,205,821 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 125,560,035 doses.
