Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Saturday that 33 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 131,639.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to January 01, 2022, 6,195,403 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,039,171 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 1,002 cases, of whom 222 patients were hospitalized.

2,676 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 42,078,937 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

So far, 59,836,455 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 51,962,498 have received the second dose, 7,887,288 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 119,686,241 doses.
