Iran logs 42 COVID deaths in 24 hrs

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced that 42 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 131,348.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to December 25, 2021, on Saturday, 6,182,905 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,024,211 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 1,121 cases, of whom 265 patients were hospitalized. 2,781 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 41,388,312 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, no cities are red or orange, 53 are yellow, and 395 are blue zones.

So far, 59,464,524 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 51,096,388 have received the second dose, 5,478,443 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 116,039,355 doses.
