Daily COVID-19 deaths in Iran decrease to 46

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Friday that 46 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 130,992.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to December 17, 2021, 6,167,650 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 5,995,734 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 2,196 cases, of whom 341 patients were hospitalized.

2,941 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 40,569,784 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, no cities are red, eight are orange, 119 are yellow, and 321 are blue zones.

So far, 58,026,227 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 50,109,890 have received the second dose, 3,460,454,381 have received the third dose and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 112,596,571 doses.
