Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian (R) And Sayyid Badr Albusaidi

Tehran (IP) – In a phone conversation with his Omani counterpart, Iran's foreign minister urged to expand regional and international cooperation between the two countries.

Iran PressIran News: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a telephone call with Sayyid Badr Albusaidi on Monday, welcomed cementing bilateral relations in all fields, referring to the positive relations between Iran and Oman.

The Iranian foreign minister also referred to the Vienna talks on lifting US sanctions against Iran and underlined the Islamic Republic's readiness to reach an excellent agreement to take full advantage of the economic benefits of the 2015 nuclear deal and address the possible concerns of the other side; he noted that Iran's nuclear program would be pursued under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in exchange for lifting sanctions.

Referring to Muscat's support for the Vienna talks, the Omani foreign minister stated that Iran's insist on seriousness and diligence in concluding the talks is optimistic, and Oman is consulting with various countries in this regard.
