Tehran (IP) - Women Affairs' Deputy Minister of Sports and Youth says the presence of women in stadiums is on the ministry's plan as a social demand.

Iran PressIran News: The ceremony welcoming Iran's youth Para-Asian squad was held on Thursday at Imam Khomeini Stadium.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, Maryam Kazemipour told Iran Press that meetings were held with the decision-making bodies over the issue of women's presence in stadiums, and all facilities were utilized to achieve the goal.

"Of course, for the presence of women in stadiums the necessary cultural and social infrastructure must be developed," she stressed.

"Despite pursuing the presence of Iranian women in stadiums, the first priority of the women's sports in the country should be to pave the grounds for public development and create fair conditions for Iranian women's sports," Kazemipour told Iran Press.
