Magnitude 5.1 earthquake shakes Sistan and Baluchestan

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted the province of Sistan and Baluchestan in southeastern Iran, early on Wednesday.

Iran PressIran news: The earthquake shook the province at 1:16 p.m. local time at a depth of 11 km.

The Institute of Geophysics of the University of Tehran announced the earthquake's epicenter as the area of Hazrat Abolfazl (AS) Mosque.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or severe damage.
