Fin (IP) – Two earthquakes with a magnitude of 6.4 and 6.3 on the Richter scale in the Fin district, Hormozgan Province, southern Iran, have damaged residential houses and people's property.

Iran PressIran News: The two quakes, which jolted the center of the Fin district on Sunday evening, destroyed 70 percent of homes in the district, according to Hormozgan officials.

Relief groups and the Iranian Red Crescent Society have set up tents for the people.

Hormozgan Governor, Mehdi Doosti, announced that the damage caused by the two quakes to residential units and infrastructure in Hormozgan Province is estimated at 7,000 billion Rials.

He said that about 3,000 damaged housing units in villages and areas affected by the two quakes needed to be rebuilt, repaired, and constructed.
