India (IP): The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran met with the Prime Minister of India to discuss mutual interests and regional security.

Iran PressAsia: Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, who is in New Delhi to attend the third meeting of the Regional Security Dialogue, met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi this morning (Wednesday).

Referring to the need to achieve the two countries' goals, Shamkhani stressed the importance of Chabahar in regional relations and the north-south transit route.

According to Shamkhani, this summit, which Iran initiated, had been successfully continued.

Sating that the reality in Afghanistan after 20 years of occupation by the United States was distressing and the suffering of the Afghan people had complicated the situation in the region, Shamkhani underscored the need to resolve the issue within the regional security summit. 

During the meeting, Indian Prime Minister Modi thanked the delegations for their presence in the Corona situation, expressing concern over the situation in Afghanistan and stressing the need for collective work and consensus in this regard.
