Tehran- (IP): The Islamic Republic of Iran High Council for Human Rights stated in a recent report describing Javid Rahman, the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran, as unfair and political and rejected it.

Iran PressIran news: In this statement, the Islamic Republic of Iran High Council for Human Rights strongly rejected and condemned the presentation of a report on the human rights situation in Iran by Javid Rahman, regardless of the existing facts and based on an unprofessional, unjust, and political attitude.

The Islamic Republic of Iran High Council for Human Rights considers the appointment of the Special Rapporteur for the Islamic Republic of Iran as an unfair and politically motivated plan by Western countries, especially one of the most violators of human rights, namely Canada, to take a biased view against the Iranian nation, finding the report as unrealistic and unfair.

Iran's High Council for Human Rights stressed: "Western countries, which in their black record have provided financial resources, chemical weapons and ground, and air weapons in the war imposed by Saddam's regime against the Iranian people, and have martyred and wounded many people, especially Canada, which has released to the world the remains of thousands of innocent indigenous children buried in mass graves as a result of recent excavations, cannot claim human rights.

The statement added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran considers it its duty to defend the rights of the nation against the threat of terrorism and condemns the unilateral, illegal and inhumane acts of the United States that endanger the health of children, women and men in need of medicine and medical care." and considers the rapporteur's inattention to this gross violation of human rights as deeply regrettable.

The statement continued: "The rapporteur's silence on one of the most important human rights violations of the Iranian nation during the years after the Islamic Revolution, namely terrorism, leaves no room for doubt as to the biased nature of his report."

The statement concludes: Javid Rahman should be asked whether the assassination of Iranian officials, scientists, and citizens is not an example of a violation of the right to life, about which he has remained silent?! What was the stats of the assassination of the greatest commander in the fight against terrorism and the true defender of the rights of the Iranian nation and the nations of the region, the martyr Lt Gen Haj Qassem Soleimani, by the former president of the US regime in his report?
