Tehran (IP) -Iran's parliament speaker said: The Islamic Republic of Iran has always taken steps to establish peace and stability in the region and is against foreign intervention in the Islamic countries of the region.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 35th International Conference on Islamic Unity held at IRIB Conference Center, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf stated that experience shows that unity is achieved to the extent that a common goal and approach is created in the Muslim Ummah. Our most significant experience and historical evidence is the crucial issue of Palestine, adding: Palestine has been able to bring the Islamic Ummah together.

He noted: "The Zionist regime in several other confrontations not against one or more regular armies but the popular resistance forces Shiites and Sunnis were defeated in Lebanon and Palestine, and the legend of their invincibility came to an end. The factor that caused such a significant change is creating a common anti-Zionist belief and goal and a difference in the centralist approach of governments from the perspective of Arab nationalism to the Islamic Ummah with the focus on anti-oppressive political Islam.

He said: "With the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini not only ruled over political Islam in Iran, but as a Shiite Muslim country, his main concern was to fight oppression against the Zionist regime and its main supporter, the United States."

Ghalibaf asserted: The elites of the Islamic Ummah in different parts of Muslim countries with different religious beliefs explained the need to fight against the prominent deniers and raised the Ummah's knowledge and awareness of a new approach to political Islam based on pure Muhammad thought.

He continued: "The common goal and approach caused concern to the arrogant front and with deviant transformations in the form of Takfiri Islam and igniting civil wars and normalizing the oppression of some regional governments in the form of accepting plans such as the Abraham plan and the so-called plan."

Referring to the recent events in Afghanistan, the Speaker reminded: In Afghanistan and throughout the region, the hidden groups are working to put the region in constant insecurity by launching religious wars. The recent crimes in Afghanistan and the extensive plans of the Americans and the Zionists to create chaos and division in Lebanon, Iraq and incite some leaders of the countries in the region are all in this direction. American troops may have apparently withdrawn from the region, but their plans to create unrest have somehow ended by redefining their presence in the region, he underlined.

Suppose the idea of Islamic unity is realized and conflicts are resolved. In that case, one of the main strategies of the Islamic world can be to move towards unification in the political-economic spheres and to bring non-Muslim countries into alliances. Understandings are between Islamic governments, he concluded.
