Damascus (IP) - Two Turkish soldiers were killed and four wounded in an explosion targeting a military convoy in the Idlib countryside.

The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the blast comes hours after Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (former al-Nusra terrorist group) announced the arrest of a member of the “Ansar Abu Bakr al-Siddiq” militant group, which claims to target Turkish forces in Idlib.

Syrian Ministry of Information had stated that a blast had occurred at Bab al-Hawa Highway in Idlib countryside.

Also on Friday, a Turkish military convoy was bombed when a convoy of Turkish forces passed on the road between Kefraya-Maarat Misrin in the north of Idlib.

The bomb blast caused significant damage to one of the armored vehicles of the Turkish forces without information about human losses until now.
