Iran's daily COVID death toll declines to 181

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Saturday that 181 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 123,876.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 16, 2021, on Saturday  5,773,419 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 5,309,992 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 7,515 cases, out of whom 1,197 patients were hospitalized.

4,840 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 33,898,978 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 9 cities are red, 106 are orange, 228 are yellow, and 105 are blue zones.

So far, 48,015,159 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 23,343,118 have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 71,358,277 doses.
