Tehran (IP) – Head of Iran's Red Crescent Society (IRCS) said the 26th consignment of COVID-19 vaccines purchased by the organization entered Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Karim Hemmati stated that the consignment was delivered to the officials of the Health Ministry at Imam Khomeini International Airport on Thursday.

According to Hemmati, the consignment contains 6 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccines.

He pointed out that Iran's Red Crescent Society (IRCS) imported 18 million doses of COVID vaccines during the past seven days with the cooperation of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) as well as the first vice president.

He announced that with the entrance of this consignment, the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has so far imported 70,390,000 doses of COVID vaccines.
