Armenian envoy:

Tehran (IP) - Armenia's ambassador to Tehran believes that the economic capacities of Khuzestan province, southern Iran, are constructive to trade ties between the two countries.

Iran PressIran News: Armenia's Ambassador to Tehran Artashes Tumanyan who is scheduled to make a trip to Khuzestan province said on Tuesday that the trip was aimed at examining the capacities of the province to elevated the economic cooperation between Iran and Armenia. 

Visiting some of the province's fish farming complexes, sugarcane factories and meeting with private sector activists at the Ahvaz Chamber of Commerce will be part of the Armenian ambassador's two-day visit to Khuzestan province.

Earlier, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said in a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan that new projects were defined to revive the Iran-Armenia transit route, including trucks' commute between the two countries.

Iran wants to take part in the completion of Tatev Road in Armenia that will bypass the Republic of Azerbaijan for transit between Iran and Armenia.

The route is strategic for Iran in terms of transit and commerce as it links Iran to Russia and Europe. 

Thus, Iran has declared its preparedness to complete the remaining part of Tatev Road in Armenian territory as soon as possible.
