Beirut (IP): Stating that the talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia were moving in the right direction, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran said that Tehran and Riyadh had reached agreements in some cases.

Iran PressMiddle East: "The talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia are moving in the right direction and we need to continue the talks," Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iranian Foreign Minister, told a press conference on Friday.

Amir-Abdollahian added: "Iran and Saudi Arabia have reached agreements in some cases and we welcome the talks."

"Our talks with Saudi Arabia are in the interest of the region," he said, adding: "This is a constructive dialogue. Iran and Saudi Arabia are two great countries and play an important role in stabilizing security in the region."

We will not waste our time in Vienna talks

Regarding the Vienna talks to revive the Iran Nuclear Deal, he said: "We will not waste our time in negotiations. If the United States is serious about returning to the nuclear deal, we can consider it."

Amir-Abdollahian also said: "Iran's main goal is a comprehensive multilateral economic plan. In the near future, you will see the results of Iran's initiatives in establishing peace and security in the region."

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iranian Foreign Minister, in his first visit as a foreign minister arrived in Lebanon on Thursday, holding talks with different high-ranking Lebanese officials including President, Parliament Speaker, Prime Minister, and his counterpart to review mutual and regional issues.

Amir-Abdollahian also met the Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah Resistance Movement Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

The top Iranian diplomat emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to show all-out support for Lebanon.

Amir-Abdollahian visited Moscow, Russia, before his trip to Beirut and held talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
