Iran adds Pasteur vaccine to general coronavirus vaccination

Tehran (IP) - The head of the Food and Drug Administration of Iran (IFDA) announced the addition of the Pasteur vaccine to the coronavirus vaccination basket.

Iran PressIran news: َMohammad-Reza Shaneh-Saz, announced the addition of the Pasteur vaccine to the coronavirus vaccination basket and said: "The Pasteur vaccine was added to the vaccination basket today (Tuesday), and the first batch of the vaccine is available."

Shaneh-Saz added: "So far, 6 million doses of this vaccine have been delivered to the Ministry of Health of Iran, and we hope that according to the agreement between the Pasteur Institute of Iran and the Cuban side, the number of vaccines produced will increase to 10 million doses."

The corona vaccine, known in Cuba as Soberanan and in Iran as Pasteurcovac, is a joint production of the Pasteur Institute of Iran and the Finlay Institute of Cuba, which has undergone clinical trials in the two countries.
