AEOI Chief: IAEA should not be manipulated by terrorist outfits

Moscow (IP) - The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran stressed that The International Atomic Energy Agency, as an independent and international organization, should not be a plaything for terrorist outfits.

Iran PressEurope:  Mohammad Eslami, the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, told Sputnik about the International Atomic Energy Agency's recent stance against Iran's nuclear program:

Nuclear terrorism with seditious tricks, and with unsubstantiated papers and documents and satellite imageries, makes allegations against Iran's nuclear program; the behaviors which are all threadbare clichés.

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran added: "Iran is committed to the law within the framework of safeguards and the principle is based on the commitment to the NPT."

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran stated:" The nuclear program of the Islamic Republic of Iran is peaceful and the enrichment is to the extent that peaceful projects can be implemented."

He highlighted: "The Agency's inspections are carried out continuously, and according to the International Atomic Energy Agency's supervisory duties, the inspections are carried out through the camera or by the presence of inspectors."

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran also said: "Due to the mischief and enmity that occurs with Iran, the way of dealing with Iran's nuclear program is political, selective and discriminatory, this behavior is completely illegal and rejected."

Eslami stated: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has so far exercised restraint and acted in good faith in order to build trust."

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran pointed out: "The wrong path taken by the United States and the Europeans must be stopped and they must not further harm the interests of the Iranian people."
