Iran Press/ Iran news: Coincided with the Sept 29th and 30th, the days of commemoration of Shams and Rumi, the international conference will be held with the collaboration of Shams Tabrizi Custodian Mausoleum, Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies, Iranian Research Institute of Philosophy, and Allameh Tabataba'i University.
It should be noted that due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the conference is to be held virtually at Shams Dar ul-Qarar place, in Eastern Azerbaijan's Khoi city, northwest of Iran.
12 Iranian researchers and professors as well as 11 foreign researchers from France, the US, Turkey, Lebanon, Spain, and Bangladesh will participate in the event.

The 7th Shams and Mowlana International Scientific Conference will be underway from October 2 to October 4, 2021, opened from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM local time.
Shams-e Tabrizi (1185–1248) was the spiritual instructor of Mowlana Jalal al-Din Balkhi (Rumi) and is referenced with great reverence in Rumi's poetic collection, in particular ‘Diwan-e Shams-e Tabrizi’ (‘The Works of Shams of Tabriz’). Tradition holds that Shams taught Rumi in seclusion in Konya for a period of forty days, before fleeing for Damascus. The tomb of Shams was recently nominated to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Mowlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi is the great Iranian thinker and the most eminent figure in Persian culture and literature who lived in the Ilkhanian period in the Roman land.
September 29th and 30th in Iran are named as the day of commemoration of Shams Tabrizi and Rumi, respectively.
