Tehran (IP) - The spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament said that the European Union should return to fulfilling its JCPOA obligations instead of issuing baseless statements to create a public atmosphere against Iran.

Iran PressIran news: Referring to the recent statement of the European Union on Iran's nuclear program, Mahmoud Abbaszadeh-Meshkini, the Spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament said: "If the Europeans are worried about weakening the nuclear deal, they should evaluate their behavior, and know that the only way out of this situation is to lift sanctions imposed on Iran."

Abbaszadeh-Meshkini stated: "In recent years, the Western parties did not take steps to fulfill their obligations under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and the sanctions increased as well."

The spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament added: "The logic of the law passed by the Parliament was that we should end the unilateral implementation of the obligations because continuing the obligations in the current situation is of no benefit to Iran."
