Tehran (IP)- In a telephone conversation with the Russian President on Tuesday, Iran's President asked for coordination in the production of a joint vaccine.

Iran PressIran news:  The President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi stressed the need for continued cooperation between the two countries in the fight against coronavirus, including the production of a joint vaccine, saying: "This cooperation should continue until the end of the pandemic."

Raisi also said: "We pursue the development and deepening of cooperation between the two countries in all dimensions."

The Russian president, Vladimir Putin who is in quarantine due to the possibility of contracting the coronavirus, stressed the continuation of Moscow-Tehran cooperation in the fight against coronavirus and the joint production of the Sputnik vaccine.

On Thursday, the President of Iran will travel to Tajikistan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.

It was expected that the two presidents would meet on the sidelines of the summit.
