President Raisi appoints Ahmad Vahidi as Head of Security Council

Tehran (IP) - The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in implementation of Article 177 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, issued a decree appointing Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi as "Head of the Security Council."

Iran Press/Iran news: The decree of Ebrahim Raisi states: "In the implementation of Article 177 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran and to properly perform the duties and missions of the Security Council, I hereby appoint You as the Head of the Security Council with full authority."

He added: "We hope that the Security Council, as a powerful arm of the Supreme National Security Council, by coordinating and using all the capacities of relevant agencies, while planning, making the necessary decisions and continuous follow-up can take effective steps to maintain and improve the security of the country."
