​​​​​​​Tehran (IP) – The consignment of the Austrian-donated AstraZeneca COVID vaccine entered Iran on Wednesday night.

Iran PressIran News: In an interview with Iran Press, the Deputy Head of Customs Administration of Iran, Mehrdad Jamal Arvanaghi, said: "The Austrian donation contains 500,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine, which was shipped from Germany."

He noted that vaccines had been imported to Iran from various countries, including South Korea and China, although 60% of the imported vaccines were Chinese Sinopharm.

He stated that in the last two weeks, as much as in the early days of the outbreak, COVID vaccines have entered Iran.

He announced that in the coming days, several shipments of COVID vaccine would enter Iran.
