Iran determined to build a world free of violence, extremism: MFA spox

Tehran (IP) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said Iran is determined to build a world free of violence and extremism.

Iran PressIran News: In a video message to a conference commemorating those martyred in terrorist attacks, Saeed Khatibzadeh said: "As a country that has always been the targeted by various forms of terrorism including political, economic, and blind terrorism since 1979, the Islamic Republic of Iran has stood by all survivors of terrorism with valuable experience."

He said standing by the survivors of terrorism is as necessary as standing up to terrorists.

He further referred to the Iranian martyrs in the fight against terrorism and said: "We proved that the two twin dilemmas, terrorism and extremism, are the result of the inefficiency of the current international situation, especially the recent developments, and some political pretexts at various levels."

"What we see in Afghanistan today is the state terrorism at its worst. The irresponsible and scandalous withdrawal of the occupier from Afghanistan is the manifestation of this extreme logic. Today, Western countries are well aware that Western military adventures in the region pave the way for the emergence and growth of terrorist groups such as ISIS and Al-Nusra Front," Khatibzadeh concluded.
