Iranian navy commander meets with Pakistani counterpart

Tehran (IP) - Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army Navy, said in a meeting with Admiral Mohammad Amjad Khan Niazi, Commander of the Pakistan Navy that the relation between the navies of the two countries had been strategic and desirable for many years.

Iran PressIran news: During the meeting, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani stated that the two countries' long-standing maritime relations would definitely be registered in the history, noting: "Pakistan is expected to continue the same effective historical path and develop its relations with neighboring Muslim countries with historical and cultural commonalities."

Referring to the history of naval relations between Iran and Pakistan, he said: "The relationship between the navies of Iran and Pakistan has been strategic and desirable for many years. During these years, joint exercises have been conducted between the two countries."

"The two navies must work together to establish security, especially in the Indian Ocean and North Indian Ocean region," he added.
