The Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah Movement Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah

Beirut (IP) - The Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah Movement said US President Joe Biden sought civil war in Afghanistan.

Iran PressMiddle East: Delivering a speech on Tuesday evening, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah said Biden wanted to trigger a civil war in Afghanistan by creating conflict between the Taliban and Afghan security forces.

Reiterating that the US had no appropriate perception about the region and was still repeating its mistakes, Nasrallah said: "The President of the United States was forced to withdraw his forces [from Afghanitan] and eventually they left the country, defeated and disgraced."

He noted that the US was not supposed to be a proxy of anybody's war, which was a fact that must be fully understood by those who are waiting for the US to fight for them.

"The Americans took their equipment and even the police dogs out of Afghanistan; But they did not take with themselves those who worked for them," Hezbollah leader said.

Elsewhere in his words, he referred to Lebanon's issues, including the US economic war on the Lebanese nation to collapse the country and noted that the Resistance Front was still standing firm against the pressures.

The US wanted Lebanon weak and debased, Nasrallah pointed out and recalled that Hezbollah was a part of a front that spoiled the US plots several times.
