Iran sympathizes with Greece over spread of wildfires

Tehran(IP): The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed his condolences to the government and people of Greece following the widespread wildfires in some parts of Greece.

He expressed his condolences to the government and people of Greece and the families of the victims and expressed hope that the fire would be contained soon.

Widespread wildfires in the forests and pastures of Greece began on Tuesday in the eastern part of Athens the capital of Greece and spread rapidly in several directions following the hot summer winds.

The fire burned thousands of hectares of forest in northern Greece and caused a massive evacuation in dozens of villages and residential areas.
