(IP)- Speaking on Saturday at the meeting of the National Task Force for Combating Coronavirus, Iran's President stated that we need a jihadist and swift action to change corona-related situation.

Iran PressIran news: Ebrahim Raisi stressed: "The executive officials are not supposed to give advice only, but they should consider the executive regulations for the decisions.”

Emphasizing that Iran must move beyond passivity in the fight against COVID-19 and take proactive approaches, Ebrahim Raisi said: "It is essential that appropriate mechanisms be designed to mobilise volunteer forces and NGOs".

He added: "Medical universities and governor-generals across the country should submit the experiences of the last 1.5 years in containing coronavirus and the obstacles as well as the proposals for transformation to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Interior.”

The President also emphasized: "The transformation plan on dealing with coronavirus using the experiences of the country in the last 1.5 years has been formulated in a special committee and will be on the agenda of the National Task Force for Combating Coronavirus next week.”

Raisi added: "We have to equip ourselves with how to run the country if coronavirus pandemic continues.”

In this meeting, Raisi also received a report on the situation of some provinces, including Golestan and Khorasan Razavi, which have severer conditions.
