Rouhani:

Tehran (IP) - Iran's President at the meeting of the National Task Force For Combating Coronavirus announced the import of about 7 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to the country.

Iran PressIran news: Hassan Rouhani said Iran would import another six to seven million doses this week, adding that about ten million doses will be administered in the next one or two weeks with the vaccine developing domestically.

"More than 7 million doses of vaccine have been injected and another two million have been distributed, and these will be injected gradually," President Rouhani said.

Rouhani added: "If we want to eliminate the virus, it must be eliminated from the whole world."

"Europeans now vaccinate their citizens, but the virus comes from Africa and elsewhere," he said.

"Unfortunately, the situation is not good in some provinces, such as Kerman, Mazandaran, ‌Hormozgan, Golestan, Sistan, and Baluchestan and Tehran," Rouhani noted.

The President said: "It was believed that the situation is calm, but unfortunately today we are facing an increase in the country."

"On average, 48% of people implement protocols in the country, which is very low. It is expected that the 85%-90% of people to implement protocols in the country," Rouhani noted.
