Tehran (IP): The High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union, who arrived in Tehran as the EU Special Representative to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Iran President, Ebrahim Raisi, met with Iran's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Iran PressIran news: During the meeting, the two sides discussed the most important regional and international issues, especially the latest developments in Afghanistan. Consultation on bilateral relations and cooperation between Iran and the European Union in various fields was another part of the meeting agenda.

Also, considering that Enrique Mora has been in charge of coordinating the meetings of the Joint Commission of the JCPOA during the recent rounds of the JCPOA negotiations, in this meeting, the latest situation of the JCPOA the issue of continuing the negotiations were examined.

In this meeting, Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, emphasized the definite positions of Iran's Islamic system, intending to lift the oppressive sanctions against the Iranian nation.

EU Ambassador to Vienna Stefan Clement and Bruno Scholl, chair of the Iran Action Desk in the EU, accompanied Mora on the trip.
