Tehran (IP) – Iran's government spokesman said that Iran stood up to the six world powers and forced them to respect Tehran.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking at his last weekly press conference on Monday, Ali Rabiei said that during the first three years of implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran's economy experienced significant growth.

He stated that during past years, Iran and the world faced two extremists, namely, the ISIS  group and the former US President Donald Trump, which upset the balance in the world, but Iran fought them to prevent waging religious and sectarian wars in some Islamic societies.

He went on to say that confronting Trump and fighting the Coronavirus, which both have caused irreparable damages to the world economy, were among issues about which the facts were not told correctly.

Stressing that the sanctions and coronavirus have impacted the Iranian's livelihoods, he added that manufactured extremism, COVID-19, and climate change are among the challenges facing the new administration in Iran.

"The term of the current administration is already over, but the malicious actions are still threatening the country, so all of us must stand against them," Rabiei concluded.
