In meeting between Ghalibaf and Syrian PM
Iran, Syria urge support for private sector activists

Damascus (IP) – Iran's parliament speaker and the Syrian prime minister stressed supporting private sector activists in mutual trades between the two countries.

Iran PressMiddle East: Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iranian Parliament Speaker last night in a meeting with Hussein Arnous, Syrian Prime Minister, referred to the United States and Israel's defeat in the battle with the resistance axis in the past decade said: "They are convinced that with military battle and security campaign cannot defeat Iran or the resistance axis, so they have resorted to economic warfare and imposing sanctions."

Ghalibaf, Referring to US movements inside Syria, stated: "Of course, these measures will not work for them either, and for this reason, they have confronted the people with media and economic wars."

"Today, the resistance axis is facing an economic war, and we can defeat the enemy in the economic war through cooperation in the economic and trade fields," he noted.

Hussein Arnous also underlined that Syria would never forget the Iranian people's courage who help the Syrian people to stand against the Takfiri terrorists.

Referring to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's order to develop relations with the Islamic Republic in all sectors, Arnous pointed out that Iran-Syria trade relations should be increased as much as possible.

Mohammad Bagher Ggalibaf, Iranian Parliament Speaker Wednesday night on the second day of his visit to Syria, met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to discuss economic relations.

The meeting was attended by a delegation accompanying Ghalibaf and Mehdi Sobhani, the Iranian ambassador to Damascus, and the speaker of the People’s Assembly of Syria, Hammouda Sabbagh.
