Iran Press/ Middle East: On the second day of his visit to Syria, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to discuss economic relations.
The meeting was attended by a delegation accompanying Ghalibaf and Mehdi Sobhani, the Iranian ambassador to Damascus, and the speaker of the People’s Assembly of Syria, Hammouda Sabbagh.
Examining strategies to improve economic relations between Damascus and Tehran to confront the enemies of the Resistance Front was among the most important goals of the visit.
Ghalibaf is also scheduled to meet with his Syrian counterpart.
