Iran Press/ Asia: India's total tally of COVID-19 cases surged to 30,410,577 with 45,951 new infections being reported in a day, while the recoveries have crossed 29.4 millions, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, India's Covaxin, developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research, effectively neutralizes both Alpha and Delta variants of coronavirus, the US National Institute of Health has said.
The global death toll is 3,962,824 with 182,977,255 confirmed cases.
