The spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces announced on Thursday night that the armed forces and popular committees target a Saudi coalition military base in the Al-Wadiyah.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Yemeni army and popular committees have targeted the base with ten Qasef K2 indigenous UAVs, Yahya al-Saree said.

A spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces said, "The command center, training sites, crowded units and other areas inside the base have been targeted."

He added that five Saudi officers and more than 60 mercenaries were killed or wounded in the operation.

"The operation was carried out in the last two days, and audio and video documents are available and will be broadcast," Yahya al-Saree said.

The spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces had previously stated that targeting the military bases of the Saudi coalition is a natural and legal response to the escalation of the aggression and siege of Yemen by Saudi Arabia and its allies.

Saudi Arabia, with the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and several other countries, invaded Yemen in March 2015. The outbreak of war by Saudi Arabia and its allies in Yemen has so far killed tens of thousands and displaced millions of Yemenis.
