Mashhad (IP) - Iran's president-elect says the country's dignity must be preserved and protected in foreign relations.

Iran PressIran news: The celebrations of the birthday of Imam Reza, the eighth Imam of the World's Shia was held on Tuesday in the holy shrine of him, simultaneous with the victory of President-elect Ebrahim Raisi in the 13th Presidential Election.  

In the ceremony, Iran's president-elect Ebrahim Raisi delivered a speech for a large number of participants, who were gathered in the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza, observing health protocols.

"In domestic and foreign policy and the method of interaction with countries, our focus will be on maintaining the dignity and honour of Iran," said Raisi. 

Calling 'justice' as the pivot of the country's economy, he pointed to the coronavirus pandemic and stressed the public vaccination as one of the immediate programs of his administration to protect the people's health.

The president-elect praised the Iranians, who live in foreign countries, for voting despite the pandemic and the assaults of the anti-Iranian groups.

The newly-elected president criticized the governments advocating human rights for not ensuring the security of Iranian voters.
