Tehran (IP) - Less than 12 hours, on Friday, June 18, 2021, the 13th Presidential Election in Iran will be started from 7:00 am to 24:00 pm (local time) in which the Iranians will elect the next president for four years.

Iran PressIran news: Over 59.3 million Iranians are eligible to vote in the election, according to the Iranian Interior Ministry.

Three presidential candidates, namely Mohsen Mehr-Alizadeh, Alireza Zakani, and Saeed Jalili, dropped out of the race on Wednesday and finally, Ebrahim Raeisi, Abdolnaser Hemmati, Mohsen Rezaei, and Amir-Hossein Ghazizadeh-Hashemi stayed in the election.

From Thursday morning, 24 hours before polls open, all campaigning finished according to election law although supporters of the candidates are active in social media.
